Why - why spoil a good looking car by pretending it's something it's not?
If tuned to 180 bhp maybe but not before.

Because its my car so I'll do what I want

Why does it matter that its not 180 bhp??

It will be a 180 replica.. A lot of people make their ZR's into 160 replica's.. I don't see the problem to be quite honest..

My first mk2 didn't come with the badges. And it was a bona fide V6!

I bought my td with the extreme spoiler fitted in 2008. It lasted about 6 months before i took it off. Here's a few pics.

As you can see it just about fits on a mk2 with the lip spoiler fitted. It needs to be cut slightly to fit over the lip spoiler and rear window. Personaly id just stick with the smaller hatch extreme spoiler. It looks much better and more in proportion than the large spoiler.

When I modded my 115 diesel and got the 151bhp RR figure, I was gonna get some Merc A150 badges and put the 150 on the front wing.

Mate - stick 260 badges on it if you want - like you said - It's your car ....

Yeah I dont think im gunna bother with the extreme spoiler now, Im just gunna get the hatch saloon spoiler and be done with, cant be bothered with messing about, just want it to look a bit better

Yeah I got 155 BHP out of my ZR which is 158 PS which is close enough to 160 for me so I fitted a 160 badge to it briefly..

I really dont see the problem with putting a 180 badge on it? Its got the full 180 kit, the 11 spokes and everything, get a spoiler and 180 bades and its a 180 replica which I thought was quite a good idea..

Loads of people with 106 quicker silvers etc.. Make them into GTi replicas and stuff.. Loads of ZR's are 160 rep's..

I used to always want a fiesta turbo but wanted keep it looking like a pop plus 1.1 special, cant beat a bit of a sleeper and shock factor for after.

at the same time I almost bought a Escort Cosworth look a like, was based on a 1600 for cheep running, and it looked the absolute business!!... nothing wrong with look a likes, just as long as they are done well and your willing to except its not the real thing but if it still puts a smile on your face... why not

Exactly.. I know its not gunna be as fast as a ZS 180 but its gunna be around 160 BHP so it wont be slow..

And I like MK2 ZS180s so I want to make mine look like one, its not far off now.. Just need the badges, bigger spoiler and change the tip on the backbox and no one will know its a diesel until I start it haha..
