New seats have arrived, bargain at £51 from the bay of E.

They are very light at around 6Kg for the pair. Not bad condition but well worth the money. If I can get into work tomorrow I'll fit at least one of them.

Seats made a massive difference at Cadwell this weekend. You actually felt what the car was doing and this really helped learning the limits on a new track to me.

This was the first run on a bone dry track and so for a change no wheel spin and no tail out. The handling really impressed me but performance wise I'm thinking I might have an issue with my VIS motors or the butterflys. There's no chattering but it feels like it should have much more power.

The 127Bhp Pumesta was just as fast down the straights if not a little faster. Yes my son is a better driver and yes he can carry more speed through the corner but in a straight line I should have been catching him and I wasn't. Top speed was 95mph on the start finish straight and down the back straight but he was hitting 110mph.

Anyways, the clutch blew on the back straight, went for the 3rd gear upshift and it wouldn't go into any gear. I can start it in gear and it drives so it must be the spring plate that has collapsed.

Next job, lightened flywheel with replacement uprated clutch and check out those VIS motors. Once the clutch and flywheel is in my mate at Custom Tuning will bang it on the rolling road for me and check the output.

As a side note, the Pumesta also blew its clutch jumping the mountain. As it landed the clutch plate disintegrated with the torque. He can get all gears but no drive

Id just rip the vis out if I was you. you shouldn't need them for top end performance anyway

to be honest Im not surprised fezzys with puma engines always go like stick!

How were you measuring the speed?

Based on the speedos the R25 I was driving last week was as quick as the ZR, on GPS the ZR is much quicker.

speedo readings but we did manage a couple of sessions on track together and he did pull away from me. Its definately quicker.

I'm thinking about ripping the VIS out, Ive read on the ZT forum that it gives a bit more power and seeing as I'm in the top end of the rev range all the time it wouldn't make any difference
