was moving the plastic in the plenum but it just wouldn't line up, as if the vis unit is to far over for it to match.

with give what smokey said a try and see if that sorts it.

Hey Cally, not sure how this would work logistically (being based on the south coast) but I'm looking for some 17" straights to replace one of my curbed and corroded ones. I also have some standard 15" 7 spoke Rover Coupe (tomcat) alloys in excellent condition. I do have a photo of these wheels on my (now broken for spares) ZS180 so I know they clear the brakes, if you're still interested in going small?
Cheers

Sorry mate I got myself a set of 17" track tyres so just going to stick with the 17 for just now anyways. I was going to go 15" but they didn't show up quick enough and got tyres instead

Wouldn't be these wheels would it?

They do look pretty much identical, but I thought the spokes were longer!
All 4 have almost new tyres but all 4 tyres have splits in outer and inner sidewalls - Cheap rubbish rubber
I'll keep looking for that lonely mk1 straight......
And Thanks for the reply!

little update here:

small one really, more so just where the car stands now,

new Manifold was fitted but had an issue with the VIS motor lining back up (old one would not reset, so I went out and bought a set of 2nd hand VIS's and fitted the easy to get to one, keeping the other as a spare.

car now revs so much better and took it a little spin, Spot on now! so happy with that.

only issue I do have since the new manifold is that when the car is idling after either driving or just revving, it hunts a little, then settles out... I do still have my engine management light so I'm thinking my problem lays with that..

had a look at my rear calliper due to it leaking fluid, and found its coming from where the calliper meets the hose, by the looks its just a copper washer.

..plan this weekend is simple but hoping a little effective,

STICKER TIME!!

few stickers to put on along with paint the alloys.

to do list:
  • fit track tyres
  • sort Induction
  • decat
  • sort brakes

Not too long but I think I'd do number 4 before number 1.
