Plans for your ZS in 2008?

Well here are my modification/repair plans...

EXTERIOR

new bonnet, bonnet bulge and respray (EMS Ltd)
mk2 rear bumper and respray STARTED 28/3
fit laguna splitter to front bib
refit rear windscreen rubber thats fallen out
remove dents and scratches where possible
fit mudflaps to front of the car
McGard locking wheel nut kit (EMS Ltd) DONE 21/3
polish, wax and seal bodywork (Express Valeter) DONE 11/4
fit personalised number plates
fit MG and ZS180 badges
fit St Georges cross badges under side repeaters
tint rear windows limo black and light front tints
fit 4Kam onto car

INTERIOR

fit monogram steering wheel DONE 21/1
replace blown dash bulbs DONE 21/1
clean headlining and carpets (The Express Valeter) DONE 11/4
spray dash and door trims in silver (Wilko66) DONE 13/1
fix stupid gearknob gaiter DONE 13/1
buy and fit ICE into car (Wilko66 & Carmadbaker) DONE 11/4
front seats retrimmed (Wilko66)
fit 4Kam into car

ENGINE & GEARBOX

oil catch tanks to fit (EMS Ltd)
BMC CDA induction kit (EMS Ltd)
stainless steel de cat/Piper sports cat
Quaiffe diff fit to low miles gearbox (Rally Matt) DONE 2/6
poly bush the gear linkage

BRAKES & SUSPENSION

Wilwood big brake conversion kit (Intelligent Tuning)
Supaflex poly bush the suspension (Silverstorm Auto Developments)
GAZ/LEDA coilovers (EMS Ltd)
Motobuild lower brace bar (Motobuild)

WHEELS & TYRES

Motorsport wheels 17" x 7.5J" 5 spoke or multispoke
Clio Cup 200 R17 slick tyres

and my main aim......enjoy driving the ZS on as many track days as possible and maybe start sprinting it

EXTERIOR

fit various small XPower graphics
new wheel nuts
polish out all the swirls in the paint
fit personalised number plates (hopefully)
fit Saltire badges to rear C post
fit alloy front MG badge
cut out air ducts in front bumper
HID or Zenon full beam bulbs
get tint sunstrip

INTERIOR

fit TF mirror (possibly)
fit starter button (possibly)
spray dash and some trim blue
new MDF boot floor
fit ICE from the ZR - sub + 2 amps
upgrade speakers all round

ENGINE & GEARBOX

oil catch tank to fit
Pipercross induction kit to fit in the wing
custom cat-back with twin XPower back boxes

BRAKES & SUSPENSION

paint callipers blue and apply XPower stickers
Mintex brake pads and disks all round
Eibach XPower springs (possibly)

Mine will be slow as usual, kids-budget etc!

EXTERIOR

Blue LED sidelight bulbs-I'll have a look first.
St George/chequered badges to fit.
Beadblast & powdercoat wheels.
Fit rear wash/wipe.


INTERIOR

Looking at the TF mirror.


ENGINE & GEARBOX

Fit the oil catch tank.
Repipe the BMC CDA using silicon hoses and stainless pipework.


BRAKES & SUSPENSION

Strip and clean the current ones.
Lowering springs would be nice.

Maybe an exhaust , but that all depends on the current one...

Yeah its a camera for track days and doing some rallies I thought that it would come in handy.

Paint Calipers + Fit XPower Stickers

Upgrade Headlamp Bulbs


ENGINE

Fit Catch Tank
Fit Induction Kit
Upgrade Back Box (If original gives up ghost)
Uprate VIS Actuators
Possibley Uprate Clutch Master/Slave
Fit VIS Indicator Kit


INTERIOR

Fit Start Button
Change My Knob
Fit TF Steering Wheel

Thats it for now, though interested on stamfords fitting of rear wash wipe!!! Also the illumination round ignition, sounds good to me

When Ralph and I looked into it......it is likely the wiring loom is there......but the bulb and its holder may not be.

Quite how involved this job is I dunno.....maybe I should put a post up in the interior section

Nope we are talking about Ralphs unique MG Sport & Racing bonnet bulge as found on his ZS180. Look in the members cars section for EMS Ltd to get a better look we are working on this right now for a small run of these to be made as and when required. My car will be the guinea pig for this and pictures will become available when it is completed......probably by the summer so watch this space -> [ ]
