Mk2 conversion

Im thinking of converting the front of the ZS to the mk2.
Wont be for a while but i know parts are hard to come by so thought id collect them bit by bit and waiting for the bumper to be produced by K&S!

So what is needed in all
Bumper
Grill
Headlights

There must be less obvious bits such as brackets?

Well worth doing mate, just be patient to get the bits at the right price. I did mine for next to nothing, especially if you can sell the mkI stuff you take off. Best way to get a set of plugs is to find a breaker with a mkII and get the plugs that way. Mine cost me £5 inc. postage. Just remember to invert the other plug connector so your 'leccy headlamp adjuster will work.

Lol thought you would bring that comment up. Is there anything else needed apart from headlights, bumper, grill, plugs?

Just poking fun mate. The only other problem you'll have is with the back of the mkII bumper.

If you look at this pic of a mkII crash bar, the two slots in the middle are for the back of the mkII bumper to clip into. The mkI doesn't have these holes so the bumper won't fit. You just need a little hacksaw and trim the bits back.

So is it just a case of triming the mk1 crash bar or does the mk2 crash bar fit the mk1?

Your mkI crash bar won't have the holes in to accept the mkII bumpers 'locating lugs', (I guess you'd call them) They're about 2 inches long, just trim them back and the bumper will locate.
