25 project

Well how it sat 3 month ago

As many may or may not know I have decided to be the first bubble in the country with a smoothed engine bay. Well I am now wishing I hadn't lol.

So here's the pics of the first strut and the ns chassis leg (no chance of a K now lol)

ECU now re-located under the dash

Interior hmmmm wonder what dash it will have????????????

Body loom after being cut and re-routed through the inner wings (the most boring day ever lol)

And one of the key components of my install

massive thanks going to Nathan25 and his dad who came over and kicked ass and got boat loads done pics don't do it justice.

Here was a nights supplies or ready for 24 hours solid work

Any way we decided that the inner wings had to be as close to symmetrical as possible so out came the tappometer's to get them as close as poss then smoothed over.

We also decided to cover as much of the ugly bulk head as poss.

colour on

After an accident at work I hit a rough patch in both my persnal and work life and things stalled badly for 2 months

After a run of bad luck and self depressive attitude i'm back in the game.

all suspension back on

People at the carpet place owe me paint after a small incident so the car is going in for a full paint job and other bits in the next week or two.

Bump strips removed ready for smoothing

Glad the strut tops didn't crack when the car was back together. And the paint really is that shiney.

Engine block awaiting fitment

Custom M/T series head setup.

Coilovers are now on thanks to Nathan a star man as always.

Font will go lower once engine is in plus it still has the helper springs to keep some comfort. Rear is as low as possible for now till arches get rolled.

Need to get my finger out but weather and working hours mean I haven't had the motivation to do much. But all being well work will re-commence this week. Gonna get brake pipes and custom polished stainless tanks made up for engine bay.

More better pics tomorrow peeps.

Looks like a big task you have taken on there with all the smoothing going on. Impressive work!

About 20 years ago bought a RWA MG Midget for the wife, rod had gone through the block, car had a 2 pack paint job and looked fantastic. After stripping it out, found the car was rusted out, cut it up and took it down the scrappie.

I know how much effort, blood and tears has gone into your project, looking good, all the best with the last leg and looking forward to seeing the finished car.

Why not?! lol Im assuming it wont be your average car when finished and will prob be used for publicity more than anything and an advert for the quality of the work at AA.

Loks like quite a challange and I cant wait to see that engine in there and the bay all done!
