You could mount it somewhere in the back I suppose, fitted mine along with torch on armrest cubby (did away with my ashtray & lighter to fit can holder)
Not much left on my zed that is "as it came" really.

Whilst I had console out fitting can holder I fitted a 3 way socket behind console (accessible from passenger footwell), aux socket and torch are wired together to a plug that is left in the 3 way permanently, that way its still easy to remove centre console if needed.

Crap pic but top left is glovebox lid, in the centre is the bracket with 3 way attached (console removed, obviously)

Jts just a cigarette lighter with a flip cover - handy where I have put mine for recharging phone
