So I was thinking, instead of the solid traffic purple in the first link to paint there, that I should paint it a metallic "Cadbury's purple"

Would one 400ml rattle can do?
Or one each?

Do I need a lacquer layer? And will that need heat treating?
So many things to think about.

Did you refurb yours with a full kit like the one I posted Pete?

One 400ml can should be plenty enough, lacquering them would help to protect the paint finish.

I bought the full kit of seals, but the calipers turned out to be good enough to use, they just needed a bit of a clean up.

Something else worth checking are the stainless shims that the ends of the pads run on, corrosion build up underneath them and pinches the pads, which causes brake judder, and the inner pad can stick, the giveaway is the inner face of the disc being un wiped, it's worth keeping an eye on it when you have them fitted and in use.

Looks good that l'll get some ordered along with the paint.

The shims I've heard are a bit dodgy at times.
I'll try and clean it up as best I can.

That pack comes with shims and bleed nipples and the rest and tbh the ones on these look worse for wear so ill order it all I think.

Might be easier with the caliper split :/

Should I be able to push the pistons back into the bodies by hand? They seem really stiff!

Can't wait to get these on!

Gonna take my time and do it as well as I can!

That's good to know, I've never done anything brake related before so this may end up being a swift learning curve!

I read the refurb thread and it doesn't seem like I'll need any special equipment so ill be starting these tonight!
