Not quite a ZS

Hi guys, just thought i'd share with you some photos of a little project that me, my brother and dad have been working on for a little while now, hope you enjoy.

It's a Rover BRM with a T-series conversion, It has Rover 620ti calipers with EBC turbo 180 discs and Ferodo fast road pads, cookie downpipe with 3" stainless steel sytem, diaphragm dumpvalve and a large open cone fitler.

It's going to be kept as 'sleeper' as possible so when it's out on the roads we can suprise a few fast cars in the old girl.

Great cars but sorry don't like the big lump up front in these cars

They surprise a lot of cars in standard form and are much better in twists and turns

THAT'S the way to do a conversion! Very professional job.
The BRM interior always looked a bit "Liberace" for my liking, but that's hardly your fault, and I should imagine you get used to it in time.
Bet those seats are a bit slippy in the corners though! Hang on to something or you're ending up on the wrong side of the car!
That Trophy Blue ZR with the ZS straights in the background of the first pic doesn't look bad either.

Thanks mate, we have put alot of hard work and effort in to make it perfect. As for the ZR, that was my pride and joy! until an uninsured driver smashed into me!

Heres a few pictures of my ZR before it went to Rover heaven.

Not my idea of a sleeper .... If it was a 214s looking thing with that lump in it - I'd go along with you ....

Looks in good nick though and I bet it's a flier ....

i understand folks comments about dropping the turbo engine in a brm but on the other hand how else are you supposed to make it a fast car because a brm isn't fast. Normal family cars, even diesel ones come with more power standard from the factory, i reckon if you can sort all the suspension out to cope with the extra weight it should be good fun.
I'm like you, i like to keep my cars looking standard but with something extra under the bonnet........as 2 young chaps in a tf 160 found out to their surprise yesterday, off the roundabout, down the slip road onto the d.c, he saw a blue car in his mirrors pull out to overtake him down the slip road, so he floored it....it made no odds though, and the impressive part was i didn't even have to change down a gear, just stayed in 3rd and buried the throttle in the carpet......the turbo torque did the rest. My passenger looked over as we sailed past chuckling to himself, the tf occupants looking somewhat bewildered.
Come the end of 3rd gear he was so far back he gave up, i think my exhaust almost blew him off the road,lol.......and what do i drive ?.......a 7 seater mpv, bit of a sleeper too imo.

Great project and well converted.

Think I would de-badge it, paint its nose body colour and then sit back and smile.
