Front end knocking

can anyone shed any light on the knocking that appears from the front end of the zs 180, the knocking does not seem to be from the brakes or suspension, as when i apply pressure to the brake pedal at low speed the
knocking still continues. so has anybody any ideas please help.

Have you got a midget trapped under the bonnet trying to get out?

Well there's not really much around the front it could be really... Other than brakes (which you say it's not) the options i have are suspension or steering joints.
