no need to leave it on that long, leave it until it becomes a powder and literally you could blow it off your car.

you know when you have cleaned the car and you can still feel loads of little bits but there no dirt the clay bar takes that off so it feels nice and smooth aferwards

A clay bar is exactly what it is called, a small amount of clay usually a soft or hard compund that is non abrasive and when applied to the vehicle with a lubricant it will lift all the embedded contamination from your cars paintwork.i.e tar,industrial fallout etc.

It will NOT remove swirls and if not used correctly can seriously damage your paintwork
