Hello All :)

Just a wee quick message to say Hi there. Aint been on here for ages! sorry - been busy. but getting grief with the zed can't engage gears properly grrrrr. Managed to get a gear by turning of the engine and get her home then just made sure everything was moving freely but still a bit iffy. Thinking either gear selector or, unfortunatley, new clutch kit needed. Thoughts anyone?. xx

sounds like your gear selector,is the clutch doing anything, like staying down at the floor, have you checked your slave cylinder/bracket

Hi mate. Pedal feels fine?. it's as if it just needs to go a bit more to get a gear which makes me think it's a selector issue rather worn clutch plate. hmmmmm

Mine felt like that before the slave disintegrated. It was as if it needed another inch down to fully engage properly.

As Andy said check the bracket that holds the slave, they tend to crack and lets the slave flex.

The selector shaft sometimes siezes at the gearbox end and dosnt push the release bearing, WD40 or light oil might free it.

How many miles you done on this clutch??

Sheddist clutch kit might sort it.

Can you get the gears with the engine off?
If yes it is clutch or clutch hydraulics and associated components.
If no then start looking at the gearbox and gear selection components.

Process of elimination, check hydraulics, slave bracket and slave itself, also worth checking the roll pin that links the gearchange shaft to box.
