New Wheels or Refurb???

the 17in wheels on my ZS are very badly kerbed.......was like that when i bought it!!

seems to be a common theme with the mk2 alloys.

so i was considering a refurb later on this year but would it be worth it or should i just get a new set of wheels......i will shortly be needing 2 front tyres anyway!

the wheels on my car are the 17in mk2 180 type!

I'm getting mine refurbed as replacement wheels of any type are too expensive and I cannot justify the expense!

If you like them, get them refurbed. If you don't, how much do you want for em?

TBH mate, IMO you would have to find something really special to improve on the std wheels

Generally it should be around 30-40 a wheel

£40 a wheel sounds a decent price.

to be honest the rears aren't that bad but the fronts are quite bad.

may just get the fronts done then and two new tyres!

round my way there are a few dedicated wheel refurbishers. I had 2 wheels done on my zr, dropped them off for a day and picked them up good as new. I know of people that have done their own.

You could always look for a good set of second hand wheels with decent tyres ?

Then get yours refurb ?

I believe they weld onto the damaged area and skim back the face until it is as it should be.

We have Lepsons alloy wheel refurbishments down our way. They are a great bunch and good on price too for the quality finish they produce.
