I've just joined the club...

of broken inlet manifolds

It was okay before I set off - no rattling whilst I was clearing the ice off the windscreen - but when I got home it was rattling like a good 'un.

I do hope my bad luck isn't rubbing off onto you Ralph, sorry.

Sooner Stamford comes up with a solution the better......and bang goes the theory on high mileage cars being the reason......

same goes for my theory of the newer cars being out of the trouble........

I strongly believe now that it is a hit and miss affair as to whether you have a good plenum or not....

Hopefully you can get it all fixed soon buddy .

Well, the guys tested it today. Both motors are okay. They couldn't get it to rattle, but it was definitely rattling last night.

As compensation, I got them to re-fit my cat bypass whilst the car was in the workshop
