Sure you don't want a 180 there's an xpg one with some good mods and the guy only wants a bout £1k!
I had to wait for mine and it has its problems but ill sort them! I think they're easier to find with legit 180 engines in them.

Apart from petrol and calipers mine have both together been cheaper than the ZR! (Head gasket twice, waterpump x3 IMG x2)
Even both insurances on the 180's is only £200 more than the ZR 1.4!
Good luck with the hunt though. Check out the site trader ZRed in the traders section it's in there.

I'm a bit biased as mine is the 1k one everyone is on about, but let me give you some examples of MPG

I get

V6 180 = 24 MPG, driven normally
1.8T ZT = 27 driven normally
1.8 VVC TF = 30 driven normally

See what I mean about fuel costs, they isn't much in it (it does depend on your daily mileage though). In terms of insurance, the 180 ZS is much cheaper than the ZR's, due to the older "clientele" that normally drive them.

Just look around and offset the cost of buying to the cost of ownership, I think you will find it all pretty much the much.

My average MPG seems to be a tad higher than that driven harder than "normal".

Granted only over three tanks so far but not a bad indication.

It's called road trip.
I paid for the app but there is a free version also.
Pretty good and can track multiple vehicles and even give prompts for servicing/MOT/Tax/insurance.
