Is it the breakdown repair cover? If it is, I think they may cover it, but you will have to be a bit cute. Technically the car should be in a breakdown state, ie it can't be driven or can only be driven a short distance to a garage. They will not pay for something which doesn't prevent the car from actually being driven normally.

To start the process of the repair cover you need to get the AA breakdown service out. Tell them you have repair cover and they will try to diagnose the problem but likely just give you the paperwork to take the car to a garage/ or have it recovered to a garage by truck. If you put miles on it the AA loss adjusters will argue that it's therefore not a breakdown and won't cover it. You should be able to take it to the garage though, but to maximise the chance of the AA covering it you should leave it there for however long it takes and not take it home and drive it about waiting for a slot for it to be repaired.

I have no knowledge of warrantys etc .... but .... I'd argue though, that as it's not a service item - it should be covered .....

KirkJames will become famous soon enough
It can't be that easy can it or else we would all be at it trying to change our 'noisey' manifolds.

It will depend on the level of warranty given and limit of costs involved. Also service history and whether this has been carried out as per warranty stipulation will dictate if you are eligable. If the plenum is worn then it should be covered as it is a working part of the engine and not a service item.
