Terrible mpg

After the thread the other day where the op had done 140 odd miles on half a tank, thought I'd follow it up with mine.

Miles covered since last full tank = 142
Litres required to fill up = 36
MPG = 17.93 or 32.43 pence per mile!

Thats all city driving which means most of the time is spent idling not going anywhere but that still seems stupidly low, should be able to get into the 20's at least.

I'm thinking theres something wrong somewhere. Possibly front lambda sensor? Or big old hole in the fuel tank?!

The car has 270cams and believe Murray got it remapped by reidy. So the fueling should be right there. Other than that the Lightweight flywheel if anything should increase mpg, arguably so should the decat and the lightweight wheels.

Oh and I've not been driving it like a cun4 ......least now during that tank of fuel

I say town driving probably 70% was on motorways but that doesnt seem to make any difference round here, still dont get above 3rd

make sure tyre pressures are ok and that you do not have any sticking calipers

Pressures were low...22psi all round So next tank might improve alittle.

Pah, you're not even trying, when I had the Scangauge set up in the 180 I managed to see 9mpg.

18mpg in a modded 180 around town sounds about right.
