the idle breather is needed for some induction kits, looks like that one you have bought has a connection just after the filter to pipe it into. The one I had didn't so I had to get a small PiperX filter just for the idle air intake. It was quite loud for such a small filter!

no you just need a bit of vacuum pipe to connect it into the Viper

I'm not 100% sure on this, so correct me if I'm wrong anyone - the idle intake sucks in a small amount of air to keep the engine going when the throttle is fully shut. I=On the ZS it's right above the main throttle and there's a split pipe out of the rubber throttle hose that runs into it

Your car might not actually have one, as the ZR didn't and I had to plug the hole up on my Viper with tape

I'll have a look at yours next time you're down and see if we can find if your car as one

ahhhh ok im a bit confused. so not the filter i posted on ebay?

lol, i was gonna just seal that other small pipe on the viper

you could use one of those filters if you plugged the hole

I had one of those exact ones on my idle intake and it seemed to work fine
