Advise on My ZS180

I bought my ZS180 back in 2012 to use on track but sadly after the first track day the main shaft bearings in the gearbox started to fail and it pulls in neutral when cold.

The car drives absolutely fine otherwise, anyway I managed to buy a 620ti gearbox for £150 with the intention of swapping it but I just dont have the time or funds at the moment to get it done or even to go to trackdays at the moment as im about to move house in the next few months.

My question is what do you think the car is worth as it is?

I have been offered £350 from a MG specialist breaker without the standard wheels, do you think thats a fair offer?

Spec:

2003/03
Trophy Blue ZS 180
58,000 miles
All belts changed 2,000mile ago
Powerflow back box
Pipercross Airfilter
MTEC Discs front Discs
Black Diamond Predator Pads
Door Card/Rear Seats removed
No MOT
No Tax

Looks far too good to break.

How about selling the 620 ti gearbox for the most you can get. Buying a standard gearbox, for £50.00 (seen them go for that) ask ZRed site trader, might still have one.

Put the balance to get it swapped over, put in a new clutch, but then you need to keep it and enjoy it.

They are not fetching a great deal of money at the moment.

Or take the rose tinted glasses off and take the money and cut your losses.

House moves can swallow money, good luck with the move and whatever you do with the car.

£600 would be fair-ish. Looks like a nice car especially with the belts done! Gearbox is no biggy

Thanks guys,

Really wish I could keep it tbh but I dont have the time, money or space at the moment. It seems a shame for it to be broken as it was so much fun on track

Hopefully I can get my money back on the box, sell the wheels for around £120 as they have new tyres on and then see if someone will buy the car to fix it rather than break it!

£350 for a car with no MOT or tax (irrelevant from next October), a failed gearbox and no wheels seems a reasonable offer.
