well filled up yesterday to go to scotland, was deep in red, £53.02 , so that would be 58-59 litres ?? 12.9 gallons ish. i returned around 41 mpg, on my journey, sat 70 on motorway (90% of journey) and 60 majority of rest. so how is that not possible, if your zed returns less, then i suggest checking air flow sensor, lambda or thermostat*(it may be stuck open), i return almost as good as mpg as you claim from your zed in my 450bhp+ Sti impreza.

just because tank is 10 gallon, and lines etc, doesnt mean zed only hold s 10 gallons, almost 13, so do the maths,

Car now sold, thanks all

Getting a consistent 280-290 miles to the tank in mine at the moment.

41mpg in a 2.5 V6 way off somewhere... My dad and lil bro both have 1.4's and they are just about getting 40-41mpg.

On a long run in my KV6 I wasn't far off 40mpg. Was driving like a nun though I tend to get about 40-50 miles for £10 now, whatever that works out as.

I've done it. Not impossible but very very difficult. You need t be super smooth with the throttle

a bad thermostat, as in one that is jammed open is the biggest culprit of bad mpg, as the thermostat is open all cooling systems work harder and a car uses stupid amounts of petrol, i simply wouldnt own a zed if i got 210 miles from a tank, that would be under 18mog ?? as said my heavily tuned impreza does more than that.
