Bit of tinkering over the last couple of days. She's up and running now but I've been plagued with flat battery problems, then my alarm sounder decided to play up causing it not to start at all, ugh, big thanks to Pete for helping me diagnose that though!!

But battery is now on charge and hopefully get her fully working again tomorrow in the meantime I tinkered with a new spoiler and replaced the noisy rad fan, plus removed the redundant air on fan whilst I was at it.

And pics...

Replacing fan...

Modifying spoiler...

Dodgy alarm sounder pin...weird...

And random photo whoring...

Not done much to the car in the last few weeks, still waiting for my non-conductive mastic-stuff to arrive to finish my wiring loom extension.

Had to replace the battery as the old one was completely gubbed, bought a slowly larger one so now need to set about doing a battery to boot conversion. Have ordered a R75 battery box to mount it in (thanks for the idea Pete!) just need some cabling and fuse.

In other news my rad fan has stopped working now I've replaced it, checked the usual suspects of fuses and relays, checked ecu settings and all seems in order so I'm putting it down to one of two things....either the existence is too high to run the new fan, or removing the air con fan has somehow affected the rad fan operation. If after checking both of them the fan still isn't working then I'm going to just bypass everything and run it from a manual switch.

Thanks

Got some more plans for her still and currently the roof spoiler is off having been chopped about a bit more and filled/sanded, etc.

Here she was the other day when I randomly decided to take a pic...

Sorted the radiator fan in my lunch break today!

Turns out that the aircon fan is built in to the rad fan circuit, therefore it either needs an air con fan or the connection bridging to keep the rad fan working. So I dug out the other slimline fan I bought and soldered on the old air con fan plug. Jobs a good'un and both fans now working
