easytime is on a distinguished road
Does not work on 180 unfortunately. Sounds like a couple of drops of oil getting in.

The correct procedure is key to ign2, smoothly press the gas peddle to the floor FIVE time within 30 seconds, wait for the stepper to finish adjusting, start the engine. This should be done on a cold engine.

As already said it only works on MEMS, not the seimans 2000 found on the KV6.

I got told this by the head tech at my local MG Rover dealer. I tried it on my 180 to stop it revving so high on start up. It did work too.
My V6 Freelander doesn't do this high rev start, it seems to be a 180 thing.

well i went to Curborough, she went out at least 12 times, no issues. ran like a dream, managed up to 90 on the straight, considering the short circuit it was impressive. brake pedal got soft a couple of times, think the fluid was boiling
