Insurance companies taking the mick..

Got my insurance renewal through form Sky insurance 8 days ago and it came in at ?890!!
Not happy I called them up and was told rather bluntly that 'thats the new quote take it or leave it' so rather pissed off with the reply I took the guys name and hung up, got it down to ?750 via confused.com so called them back and got a lass called Kathy.. I explained to her about the last call, and then went on sort of a moan mainly because I cant see that a years extra ncd and the 10% discount from xpf would end up with me paying well over the 20% rise that everyone is seeing. So she had a chat as I went on hold and low and behold its now matched... winner!!
Does annoy me though that they think they can just try and bend us over and that it can take some serious stick for them to 'try' to lower the price.

I wish my insurance premium was ?890.
I'm considering moving house just so I can get out of this ridiculous M postcode!

Insurance prices at the minute have gone totally crazy. Bit crap that Sky insurance were messing you around, though. I feel sorry for the guy at Keith Michaels that I deal with, I always harass him for weeks before my insurance renewal lol.

I pay around ?900, 22 year old with no NCB. Makes me laugh how 3 years ago on my 120 I was paying stupid amounts. The tables appear to have turned!

Just had my renewal through from Chris Knott insurance. 25, 5yr NCB, ?250.
Got to be worth phoning them?
Also had the bike renewal through on the same day, paid ?500 for my first year, down to ?132 after 1yr NCB!

And you've got a green MG like me. Should be dirt cheap!
I phoned to try and get a cheaper deal, but she basically said we are all paying extra for these 'no win no fee' types you see on the ***** TV stations!
