How much would a good ZT 260 cost?

Don't seem to be many about. Kinda interesting car.

That's a toughie, prices do vary and alot will depend upon the condition and if the seller is desperate. I have seen some bargins and some not so. If I were looking for a quality 260 I would be looking for a late one and expect to pay circa £7-9k trade I guess for the right one. Maybe cheaper if private.

Wasn't there a more powerful derivative available?

Two supercharged ZTs were built by MG Rover. They were both rated at 385bhp, one was a prototype and the other came off the production line.

Dreadnought in Callendar fit Kenne Bell superchargers to ZT260s, and theirs are nominally 400bhp.

A guy on the 75 forum just paid £3500 for one. It has a few issues, but my God .... what a car.

My mate paid £4K for his. Again, a bit rough and the body needs a bit of tidying, but only 26K miles on the engine.

Nice one in black on PH just now with 100K for £6K. Half that mileage and you'll pay £7K and a bit.

Gumtree Edinburgh are listing an 07 plate for £7K ... that will be the huge road tax though.

Long time no post in here, mainly cos the money that was set aside for a ZS went into a ZT-T 260. We paid 9500 for ours (actually, hers...), 11.5k miles, MK2 SE spec etc. Very nice car, and even at that price a lot for the money. 10k is the top end for a MK2 ZT-T SE, ~8k will get you a very nice sedan. About 80% of 260's got the SE treatment. If you're after a tourer, they are much harder to find (~150 made of 760ish MG's) but they do come up from time to time.

Now all I have to do is get the sodding thing legal on the road here...
