Saloon Boot

Boot wont keep up,its got the BIG spoiler on it,ive had a bit of a fiddle with the torsion bars this afternoon,but it still wont stay up.Do i keep using my wooden 2"x1" to prop up or is there another solution?Thanks in advance.

either move the torsen bar to the stronger setting, or add in gas struts

Just find a strut thst fits! Opens nice & slowly when the boot is popped. Job done.

2 questions

how did you move the bars as they are under tension?
sould I have a second grove for the bar ends nearest the seat?

If you look on the 2 pics I posted you can see the groove nearest the seat, I used a bar to twist them and a block of wood to force them into the forward pair of grooves, I didn't fancy putting my fingers near them.
