637miles to £60 of diesel can't be bad!!
Heheh yes you could say it is 'slightly modified' (check my build thread in the projects section )

When i pootle along a-raods i get closer to 50-55mpg i will be honest, but i drive at outside lane speeds on the motorway (at 3000rpm) and the economy takes a bit of a hit; and that is where i spend most of my time travelling

Why not come along to the Kent meet on the 3rd July, see thread here http://www.themgzs.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?t=12220

It'll give you an idea which way to go.

Will be even cheaper when I add motorbike and house insurance!

I'm 23, 6 years no claims and pay £550 on my Mk1 180. Not bad...

To be honest if you can afford the 180 I'd go for that. You know what'll happen otherwise, you'll be sat at the lights in your 120 and along comes a 180 beside you, the lights change, and you're left with the roar of a V6 and the tail end of a 180 disappearing into the distance.........

(Runs away and awaits a flaming...)

The 120 is the better handling out the two though no doubt about it, with the lighter K series does make it fun on twisty roads

They all have their plus points will depend on what your after:
Economy - Derv
Cheap tax/ insurance - 120
Power and V6 roar - 180

Personally Id had a 120 and upgraded to a 180, Currently got a 120 courtersy car whislt the 180 is having some work and truth be told cant wait to have that v6 roar again

I agree! Good chance to get a close look at some nice cars!

I'm putting my derv up for sale soon too!

V6 do it now. and Mattie if you go buy a 180 like i know you want when you test drove mine before i decided to keep it (Payney off ZS Central) you won't get near £188.
