The Dreaded.

Hey people!
How do you check for Hgf, I simply ask as my cars done 145k now and its got a very sketchy service history, to say the least.
Ive had it serviced, Mot'ed and everything, but good old paranoia is starting to creep in, so im just wanting to put my mind at rest!!

cheers,

Nutter

Squeaks will become famous soon enough
there is afew ways to check.

1. check the dipstick if there is a white gunk (mayo) on the end you have HGF
2. check the oil cap if there is the mayo its HGF

if you have oil in the water ( where the antifreeze goes ) that is another sign of HGF

if you have the first 2 you would be experiancing over heating.
