I've got a TF160 great fun, but if I wanted to drive up to London I'd take the derv ZS.

The TF goes well but it feels like a sports car, whereas the ZS goes as well and is an effortless drive.

With the way TF prices are falling through the floor, I'm sure you could pick up one in a better condition.

Thanks for all the replies, guys. I've decided to keep the ZS, mainly because I write about it for MG Enthusiast, I found out today I couldn't do that with an F, since three other contributors are all ready running them. The rule in my house is that I'm allowed to buy a car (8 at the moment) provided I can write about them and they earn their keep so that means no F.

It does mean, however, that I can firm up my plans for the ZS for the coming year!

Lukes hit the nail on the head, F's are dogs unless very well cared for and maintained and looking at that one its a wants for a lot.

Smile

Didnt they have a similar weakness to the K4, many years ago next door neighbour had a yellow/black roof one. Remember him having to have head gasket done a few times!!!

The owner of the F has decided to scrap it now - unless anyone wants an F for £500, tax and tested but 130k and a complete shed by the sounds of it - you had a lucky escape.
