It is. I wonder where did the inspiration come from

Still a few more things to do this week. CV joint and headlight alignment needed to pass the NCT. Get rid of those braided hoses on the catch tank which have started to look a bit shabby. Tax it for July

Is the grille the original mesh repainted.?

Mine has gone a nasty faded Grey sort of colour, it could do with freshening up.

Looks lovely, sometimes forget how nice sunspot is but soon remember with these pics!

I'm going to have to replace my mesh too, lower one is pretty rusty and having painted my previous cars mesh's I think the replacment route would be best as paint canna hack it for long enough IMO. Possibly gettin em powdercoated would work but how much would that cost I wonder!?!

Same. The grill could be resprayed I guess, but after being impressed by MG ZS STE's grill at PoL, I decided to replace it with a finer mesh. The standard grill doesn't quite cover up the Zed's underwear

I went for this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAND-NEW-.../251537115455?
"125 x 25cm sheet of car radiator grill mesh. Black aluminium honeycomb cut with honeycomb size 12 x 6mm."

2 sheets are needed to do the upper and lower grills on the mk2. There are cheaper ones but I'm hoping this one stands up better to stone chips etc.
