dida4g has a spectacular aura aboutdida4g has a spectacular aura about
ZS going to the bodyshop today...woohoo.

Usually when you buy an accident damage car the service history can get lost between previous owner and insurance storge, however as the previous owner had bought it brand new I took a chance and wrote to her just to see if she could give me an idea of the service history, I included photo's before and after the damage. She rung me a day later to tell me she'd kept everything, all receipts inc. the service book with FULL SERVICE HISTORY.
She also said "oh, by the way, I had it remapped, it's running about 135BHP, it's had a recent clutch and the belts were done about 20K miles ago"
With that kind of info it was only right to drive the 50miles to collect it.

Just realised I didn't post this pic of the rear electric window switches and the coverup job of the old winders, basically I glued the old silver part of the winder with self adhesive black felt.

So here we are at the end of this repair project,
Total spend as follows.
Car £580
Transport £130 (inc DVLA visit)
Rad+Fans+condensor+Airbox £60
Bonnet £35
Electric rear window kit and 4 civic door handles £25
R400 rear lights £2
parcel shelf £10
2 part worn tyres £60
Headlight glue £10
O/S headlight £58
New No. plates £10
Mot £40
bonnet & bumper repaired and painted £200

£1220 not inc road tax.
and minus £30 for the Lexus lights.

I've been very very lucky with this car, despite the damage it is a 1 owner with FSH.

Big thanks to this forum, many hours of great reading.

Good effort pal ... Love seeing guys get hold of something for pennies and turn it into a great looking car with a bit of time and effort. Well done.

Awesome read! Well done for saving it from being cubed and turned into the next household appliance got to say, I much prefer staring at a ZS than a new fridge freezer, even if there is food in it!
