Ok guys, I need help shifting my car. Ive tried Autotrader and pistonheads with no joy. I havent even had 1 viewer.

What do you think of ebay? how much is it likely to go for without reserve?

Any other sugestions?

Someone must have a mate who would love this car.

I cannot believe you haven't had any interest! Good luck with the sale.

Ebay with no reserve, very risky! I too cannot believe it has not been snapped up. Just wish I had the money as I would!

I've had mine on ebay. A classified will cost you £12.99 for 28 days. I had mine on for £4,500 and got a "Best offer" of £3,500. I rate the classified way of selling better as you get to sell it the old fashioned way and don't pay a seller fee which you would if it sold via the auction route, however you could do an auction with a reserve set at what you'd let it go for. Make sure you build in the fee that they charge on top of your minimum selling figure. My last auction closed at £2,550 and that was with a bit of help. Mention in there if you'd consider swaps etc. That may help in letting it go. Even if it's not a car, you could take a classic, or a track car/bike, boat, caravan, PC BMX ... whatever.

Honestly though, the best option for me selling has either been an autotrader web only, or in the local free newpaper classified section.

Similarly to you though ... no-one's after a Mk 2 ZS 180 at the moment.

Hard to sell at the moment.

There are som cheap ones around have put a few offers in myself..

Best buy at the moment is 06 plate for 4k so that gives you an idea of price.

I think you are looking at 3k but you never know...

Good luck with the sale...............

that would inspire me even more to keep the car IMHO

I couldnt let mine go for so little money

Its the same thing Skoda had ages ago "I wont touch a Skoda wirh a bargepole" look at them now

I think the same thing applys to MG/Rover at the minute lets hope the squinty eyed fellas do something decent with MG

MGRover didn't become a bad marque overnight, just suffering due to being the last great mass produced British car maker gone to the wall. In time they will become collectable and sought after as those that don't care about them let them get scrapped etc so they become thin on the ground. The 180's will be a future classic I am sure. I've been there before with other marques and models, back then they were two a penny, today even the 'basket cases' are fetching silly money.

Keep the faith!

Based on current values I am keeping my 06 plate for another year at least, like it has been said, they aren't shifting and mine is in the higher tax band too, hopefully I will need a more family orientated car this time next year so if I cant make more than 4K for it I will just chop it in and count my losses
