If you're going to change to a MK1 I suggest that you either look for an early one with the wood trim on the door (if that's what you're into) or a late 2002 onwards one (make sure that it has the coil packs on the front bank of spark plugs, not in the V).

i completly agree its very hard to understand what somebody says in writing. mabye we should all get a phone when we sigh up to this site!!

I have never been in a MK2. I really wanted one but couldn't afford it. I would be tempted but I hve to save every just to keep my car. To be honest, I sort of like the originality and the 'sports saloon made with £5 and a some plastic' look. Be wary though, the car sales market is down in the ground right now.
