Mk1 Trophy Blue Saloon 53 plate.

It is with regret due to change of circumstances I have to part with my ZS 120. I will not be driving it for the next 3 years whilst at university so I'd rather it go to a new owner than sit and gather dust.

I bought this car end of August 2008 where it had covered just 27,000 miles. The place I bought it from use a garage close by who is run by two close friends of my dad's, who gave it a thorough checking over + MOT before it, it was mint so I bought it. Currently has done 45,000 miles.

The car (as per sig) has had it's oil changed every 5,000 miles, spark plugs changed with NGK Iradiums, and air filter changed 3 times, with receipts to prove servicing, although no proof of my changing air filters as I did it myself, so the best I can give you is my word.

The car has a 2 year warranty on it which is transferable to the new owner, this was the top model warranty that I bought extra as I intended to keep the car until it died. This warranty includes head gasket failure, and wheel bearings and the like, making it pretty useful.

Some might remember me having a wobbly with piston slap issues, this turned out to be the tensioner. I was messed around by an MG/Rover "specialist" garage who mis diagnosed the issue.

The car has a full cat back stainless steel exhaust system, and a stainless steel downpipe by powerflow, with flanges for a decat- I was quoted £70 for a decat pipe with flanges to be made up by powerflow which would be easy to swap over for the MOT, so this would be useful in the future. Cat back system is a peco off the shelf exhaust, with the middle section cut out and a straight through pipe put in. This sounds great but the first minute or two of driving the exhaust resonates, due to temperature I guess. This has been slowly going away as the middle pipe has been cokeing up, but once warm, the exhaust sounds great. Not as loud as Janspeed but still noticeable.

I have retrimmed the passanger seat with a brand new cover and it looks like brand new out the factory. I have the seat cover for the drivers side which I haven't got round to doing as I don't have a T50 socket, and have been away for 3 months but I will have a crack over christmas, weather permitting. The seat covers feel like new, and the leather feels nice and thick. I have applied leather treatment weekly to the leather to improve the look of existing leather & maintain the new seat cover.

Car has been cleaned weekly (with the occasional fortnightly clean if I'm busy over w/end, or if the weather's crap) with Auto Glym deep polish, and turtle wax to clean with, however thanks to Mick's recommendation I've been using Aqua wax, which is a spray on, wipe off job and looks just as good.

Car has no mechanical issues, drives smoothly, no engine pinking or misfiring, and steering is fine. Inspections welcome.

There is a gash on the front splitter of the car thanks to a piece of rust flying off a mobile home on the motorway. I never got round to fixing this either as it was recent, but it doesn't look too difficult for someone to put some filler in and paint over. Splitter's can't cost too much anyway. You can see it in the pictures below. No car park dings/dents as you can see as well, the previous owner was careful with where they parked it as was I- always in the corner and out the way!

Has Avon ZZ3's fitted all round, all have very good tread and will last, they're not that old.

Brake pads are more or less new all round as well, new rear discs.

Coolant replaced with fresh this year.

Has 17" straights, and full 180 body kit, and sunroof. Windy windows.

Car currently has some Sony headunit that can play MP3 CD's- for a bit extra I will include my Alpine head unit that has full iPod connectivity (the cable at the back that charges the iPod as well as displaying contents on the HU itself, not a 3.5mm jack jobby although it has that as well!). Decent head unit that cost £170 a couple of years ago and has served me well.

Think that's about all I can think of right now, I'll dig out warranty book but it covers pretty much everything as I got the 5 star one. Sad to see it go, hope someone on here buys it and enjoys it as much as I have. I've been to Birmingham and back, Winchester every weekend and all over (I love in Chichester) so car has done it's fair share of miles this year, and it's been extremely dependable. Oh yeah MOT was in sept, straight through. No tax.

Price- make me offers. I don't think this is any old ZS, this is IMO with the spoiler and colour the best type of mk1 you can get, it's been serviced extensively and is in fantastic condition, and comes with a warranty that lasts 2 years that covers hgf, the main concern with the k series, so I will reject offers that apply to the average example. I want to sell it but it's not a desperate (yet) sale so I won't jump up at low offers.

You could do with posting up some pictures of the interior, engine bay area, down the sides showing the panels, front and rear bumpers, wheels and tyres.

Was a bit of a rhetorical really! What I mean is "it's up for sale for a reasonable price, try me".

Where are you based??

Can you stick some pics up?

Whats the current condition, MOT Tax etc.

I'm guessing the original advert reflects the condition of the car 18 months ago?
