Yeah they will work with all the petrol ones after 2001 i think and will also work with all diesels after 2005. It will give limited features on models outside of this.

As for the question about MPG it doesnt measure it as such. you have to set it to one of the pre-set values and then from that it works out the MPG from the throttle position, loading temp etc. Once set up i have been told the MPG is very very accurate but is a bit of a job to set up unless you know someone who has one fitted to the same car.
