Mark 1 Alarm Sounder

Hi Folks,

After some expert adivce it would seem I'm suffering from soggy sounder syndrome!

I'm after a MK1 sounder unit, as long as it is in full working order.

PLease get in touch as I need to get this replaced ASAP.

Cheers

Murray

easy peasy fix matey

Remove the expansion bottle (two bolts) this will expose the noisy fecker

unplug the power clip then i think another one bolt holds the unit in place

Prise apart with flat edged item

remove battery's from unit

Dry out

Re seal with a bet sealent bathroom sealent will do

repeat first two steps in opposite

PS Ear plugs are required for the fix and also dont throw on the floor or hit with large hammer whilst fixing lol

Hi,Cheers for that.

I haven't removed it to examine it, but I've heard of a lot of folk saying theirs were corroded because of water, so I'd rather get an other one thats not damaged and replace it with that.

Any suggestions?

the horn sounder on the mk1 stops at 2002 then it goes to a siren sounder.
my 02 plate had the horn, and 53 plate has the siren

HI

I have a 54 plate Mk2 but have been advised by some members on here that the MK1 sounder's are more reliable as they have a better seal on them and that they would still be a direct replacement for my mk2 sounder.
