WTF? Insurance quotes.

Hey

I have a MG ZS 120+

My insurance last year (expriing the 6th May 2010) cost me £435. I have not made any claims. Now my insurers want £850.

I have spent the past hour searching the web and the best price I managed to get was £686.

Why has it gone up when I have gone from 1 year NCB to 2 years NCB. (never claimed only been driving 2 years.)

Insurance has gone up this year, which is a pain

Wait till tomorrow and give the following a go:

Adrian Flux
HIC
Sky Insurance
A-Plan
Chris Knott

Also make sure to put your other half/mum on your policy - Almost guaranteed to lower the cost!

Will take you about an hour to get through that lot, but you will save a packet! Trick is to play them against eachother, and leave Chris Knott till last as they can 99% of the time beat your best quote!

I also renewed my insurance on my 120 this year and it went up £100. 6 Years NCB aswell!! I think they have a random number generator with a big red button that they press and whatever comes up thats your price for the year...

when i had my insurance renewal come through this year it was almost 300 pounds more than the previous year with 7 yrs ncb, so i rang them up and expressed my unhappiness with them, they put me through to the loyalty dept and ended up pay less than last year after all always worth ringing them up! they will always try and bleed you dry and hope you won't kick up a fuss!

if you are over 21 use peter best insurance
no no claims required as it counts mg's as classic cars
100 excess free windscreen and more importantly
AGREED VALUE so if you paid a dealer 4K and written off
or stolen you get 4K.

Most normal policeis will give you scrap salvage value which
can be as low as 900 quid on a 05 car.

Classic insurance is worth every penny our Zr agreed value 4K
is 264 a year.

Limit on mileage is 10k.

For my ZT with 40,000 miles a year business use (Iam on the road)
is 684 with swift cover.

Pete
