vis is on the v6 180 and its valves in the plenum which are moved by motors which can fail i dunnoi that much about it
if ur buying a k4 engined car look out for head gasket failure things like the coolant looking clean and no water mix in the oil
the door handles can be a little brittle so look to see if any are broken at the edges as you could probs knock some money off the sale it the backs come away from the door if when you pull the handle, mk2 make sure everything works like heated rear windows, fog lights, wipers ect, not common but the bcu can go faulty ive only seen 1 in the last year, its more a problem on the zr because of where it sits, you can check the alarms working on a mk2 by holding the lock button in for 2 seconds then the alarm will sound, just to check the sounders working okay, if yiou hold it another 2 seconds it will deactivate but may take a minute to turn off, check the heater blower works on speeds one and two, just generally look at tyres n brakes n that as well just to check them see they are okay, just check these things its a good way of knocking the prices down
