Such an accident takes a while to go away, not all of it mind you. I had one similar many years ago where I was in the outside lane of a 2 lane carriage way and ended up doing a few 180s up the carriageway and flew across four lanes and a hard shoulder where it merged on a sliproad coming up on the left. I was shaken up, car was okay if a little scratched but I couldn't move. The trigger was a 4x4 leaping over the central reservation into my path from the opposite carriageway, I just turned to avoid it landing on me, the rest was a blurr! The 4x4 ended up in the lane I was in and was somewhat broken on all fours. Funny thing is no-one realised I was involved until later on when asked why was I parked on the hard shoulder at a funny angle! Telling that one to the insurance company was hard, they couldn't believe it.
