my car is one of the most un-reliable L-series i know, and it has had 2 HGF in 3 yers since i tuned it. that said it has done about 30k miles in that time too....

the first 3 years and 40K i had 1 clutch failure when the release bearing failed, and one set of front pads...nothing else other than tyres and oil was needed.

once you factor the costs involved i wuld be wary aboutswapping cars... diesel is nearly at 1.30 per L where i am; and i think you need to do a fair few miles to counter the extra 1K you need to find for a good one.

120?

Notice no-one mentioned a 120 petrol. Is that not considered an option?
