fitting thermostat housing

Hi all, just wanted your view on fitting the thermostat as before i put the genuine new kit on i wanted to know if anybody has used a gasket sealant as it doesn't look like a very good design for a tight fit...so just wanted to know if anybody has done something different which has done a good job..cheers Deano

All I used was Vaseline on the joints to aid fitting and stops the seals from getting nipped. Also helps to get the hoses on.

tcb 180 will become famous soon enough
Vaseline or a dab of grease thinly spread is as good as anything.
