i was annoyed it getting wrote off as i only had it 5 weeks! but with that happening i could get a 180 and the diffrence between the two, haveing the extra power of the 180 makes the car an outstanding car to drive.

The only thing i'v always wondered why rover/mg didnt do was make a 4wd version of it, with out doubt that would have been the english Impreza.

But 4wd or fwd i love it best car i have owned!

James

Probably more to do with the ZS being aimed at being tarmac/circuit car set-up where 4wd is redundant and you get power losses through the transmission. 4wd is more a loose/rally application as per the Subaru and Mitsubishi Evo's etc. However the ZR being the rally model used was still fwd.

Is that a custom exhaust (powerflow etc)? I dont think Ive seen that tailpipe on a 180 before.

Both cars look the part. What a waste though writing the red one off, from the pics it looks like it only needed a couple of doors and possibly a wing. Was there stuctural damage?

on the bright side you got a 180 out of it. Once you've had V6 you'll never go back!

The reason that MG Rover never had a 4WD vehicle is that it was part of the condition of the sale by BMW. When BMW broke the company up they sold Range Rover to Ford, and they did not want another 4WD vehicle sold that was associated with the Rover name.

ah so thats why they did not make a 4wd one.

As for the exhaust system im not to sure what it is, i bought it with it on but it sound good with it, esecialy higher in the rev range, gives it a bit of a rasp sound, but when driving it normaly its not crazy loud.

The 120 needed 2 doors and a front wing on it but the insurance wrote it off becouse of the cost of the repair.
