When did you.....?

fall in love with Zeds. Mine was on the A688 between West Auckland and Staindrop. I was in my old 620si and I was trying to follow it when it dived into a corner leaving me for dead. I remember thinking to myself 'wish mine cornered as well as that!'. A hatch in goodwood green, never did catch him but wanted one from then on.

August 2005, when I saw a new firefrost Mk2 in the showroom of my the Rover/MG dealer, just down the road from my house. I had never heard of the ZS before that as they're very rare in Ireland and it was the last Mk2 they had. A week later, it was on my drive.

When my ex said that she'd always wanted one but couldn't afford on. Went out and bought mine the next day, then sent her pictures.

That's how I roll.

P.S. Bobdope2002's STILL here?

My MGB GT slowly rusted away and was going to cost too much to get through the next MOT. Looked at a few MGF's but decided we were getting too old to climb in and out.

Looking through Ebay saw the yellow ZSTD, never even knew MG did ZS's but thought with the looks of the 180 body kit and derv economy couldn't go wrong.

Loved it from the moment I had the test drive, and then the drive home.

i fell in love with them driving round thruxton in a 180 for an experience day...

then took a rover 45 out with the L-series lump in and worked out that the ZS with a derv lump would actually be pretty good....

that was in April 04 and well, you lot know the rest
