After you've freed the frame from the old mesh, clean, primer, paint and lacquer it. Then put it in position on the bumper, add your new mesh and pop the clips back on. I added a good few blobs of timebond contact adhesive between the frame and mesh and also weighted the mesh down with approximately 15Kg of aerospace grade titanium alloy whist the glue cured. Obviously if you're going to weight down your mesh you can use whatever exotic alloy you prefer.

thanks pete, it was tough competition. if there was a best ZS diesel category i reckon yours would have been favorite to win
