wd40 and a plastic scraper gets rid of the old foam pad pretty well, then a wipe over with panel wipe or meths before you fit the new one.

I have bought the stainless kick plates too, already have the rear but waiting the front from Rimmerbros.
How did you achieve that ? Did you remove the plastic plate first or just drill ?

I have a Mk1 and a Mk2 so i just swapped them over.
The Mk1 black plastic had drilled holes in it already so was quite easy to sort.

I was wondering about the early door cards with the mk2 dash, definatly a bit classer.

They do look better.
I'm also sending a bit of mk1 dash trim to dazzer to see if he can get some vinyl of the same colour so I can wrap the mk2 dash the same as the mk1's colour to match it in a bit better.

I think it's similar to XPG so i could spray the dasy pieces. but I'd like it to be a good match amd finish so it all looks like it was there from factory.

And it came from your thread.

Was it the correct colour code when you had bought it?
