Anyone fancy a 'Project lump'?

Isn't this the same as in the 180....

I think you're right about the engine, but the gear / transfer box is a Freelander item, but would give some clever ****** the opportunity to botch together a 4WD auto ZS180.

.............now there's a thought

That's been around on ebay for some time, £1500 + VAT each if split.

And would it be wise to change the belts before putting it in whichever vehicle it needs to end up in?

That would be the first thing I would do.

I very nearly bought a Vauxhall 3.2 lump that was offered in a similar fashion, didn't have the ancililiaries, but every orifice was plugged, What put me off was it really needed to be stripped first and that meant alot of money to get it back together again, stretch bolts etc. Decided to get a low mileage lump and rebuild the top end instead.

my engine is for sale if anyone wants a proper 'project' lump. Open to offers but bear in mind the engine is complete and as such is worth more than a bare engine. Inlet manifold, exhaust manifolds, alternators, starter motor, throttle body, cylinder heads complete...........its a lot of parts I could break down and put on ebay........anyone interested let me know and I will think about it.

Jim

Was full of fear opening this thread: thought "project lump" may have been rhyming slang for something!
