I like those seats but the flip forward catch is on the wrong side. (Also flip forward seats?
Also like the steering wheel.
Not sure on the brakes but don't look hugely different.
And those wheels :/

Anyone know what they did to the engine to get 200PS?

Probably just the kind of exhaust and induction mods many of us have done perhaps with a remap?

A guy i know has a factory 200ps Zt.
he has it mothballed in a heated garage as he thinks it will be one day worth more? not sure i agree. but it was the company car for an old Longbridge employee, who was the prototype workshop manager. it must be the engine Calibration because it looks identical to his 190 ZT under the bonnet.

I thought there was the odd couple that slipped through? Or was it some that were made to look like this? Remember seeing one such car on xpf many years ago, looked identical with the Toora parts fitted.

And its got R45 headlights, just like the BTCC original ver...oh, no wait. It hasnt. But thats probably the only thing that makes it look different. Well worth the price tag with all those mods.

that car is owned by someone and to my knowledge is still in use.

the rumour mill has it that wsr stiffened the suspension by a few percent and lowered it by just a few mm, and said that whilst it would marginally handle better in the dry it would not be as good as std in the wet, basically, the std suspension was very very difficult to better for a road car.

Thanks for the info. I always thought it was odd that MG Rover never did a specail BTCC edition of the ZS.
They would have only had to drop in the 190ps engine and put a loud 'active' type exhaust back box on it. Then fitted some different wheels and different seats. MG do a MG 6 BTCC edition, but i think that is just styling changes. Vauxhall did the 888 Astra coupes, a proper production WSR ZS would have been good.
