Starting issue

Got a bit of a problem with my ZS. 1st thing in the morning it struggles to start, but if you blip the throttle as it's trying to start it fires up and runs fine. Sarah's driving it during the day and says it doesn't do it during the day.

I'm wondering if the battery is dying, if it's plugs, knackered coil ends or if it could be water getting to the plugs (it's been losing a bit of coolant every few weeks) and then that would suggest HGF is starting/developing?

Could be temp sensor - think if they fail it sends message to ECU that car is warm, hence difficult to start from cold (if it failed the other way you'd get bore wash from excess fuel and high fuel consumption). Think the sensor is in head or block somewhere, one in rad is just for fan iirc.

Worth checking plugs & HT leads/ coils as they are easy to get at, give all that area below engine cover a blast of damp proofing spray - WD40 would do)
