180 Wanted

The end of April, early May will be looking for a 180.
A saloon in either TB or TY , preferably with belts done

Any suggestions or links etc welcome.

Also, i believe the 180 doesn't suffer from hgf like the 120, is this true ?

When should the belts be done on a 180 ?

there will be plenty out there mate,so you can be choosy, its pretty rare for hgf on the 180 engine,as long as its well maintained, think its 90k,or 6 years whatever comes first mate, good luck!

Yes, 90k or 6 years but just because a car that may be 8 years old with 30k on the clock is alright, think again, age will define the condition of the belts here. HGF was only encountered on the very early production runs, think they may have been the pre-production spec ones registered and then sold, different spec engine build iirc.

Why don't you just put it up for sale? Or are you scared in-case someone comes with lots of cash and dangles the carrot!

Where did you hear that one then? Same goes for the mk1, same engine, same schedules. Cambelts are required at 90k or 6 years whatever comes soonest.

Thought it was a BMW fix to extend major service interval. Plus thought the primary belt was narrower on MK1's?
