Mudge

So Im finally giving Mudge some well overdue TLC the story so far
so I bought her in 2010 for the total some of £2700 with two previous owners 50k on the clocks and full MG Rover or MGR specialist service history. She came with full leather interior, Xpower kit, air con, fog lights black ash interior inserts etc who ever first owned her really splashed out on the optional extras.

originally i fitted some oe looking mudflaps and performance wise i slapped in a set of SDi's an after market cone filter and decat although the power increased i never upped the boost the yurbo to 19psi so she just went like stink and blew huge soot clouds at whatever poor git that got stuck behind me. on top of that it killed my mpg figures so they came back out and Mudge remained pretty much standard after that due to a lack of funds and being used daily for work.
an run in with a ridculessly oversized curb tore off the rear silencer so as a "tempory" fix i welded on a bit of transit exhaust and an after market peco exhaust from god knows what, wasnt perfect but its held up for the past year or so :/
Whilst i was in basic training for three and a half months I did my brother in law a faver and lent him Mudge he's a carefull driver with four kids never speeds never had an accident and in my opinion it was better than her sitting under my mum car porch seizing up... or so i thought turns out he wasnt used to driving cars with large turning circles and so he managed to scrape all four corners of the car including the osf head light, crack both rear lights and tear off the osr mud flap along with a chunk of the inner arch! You can imagine how gutted i was when i saw my car for the first time in 14 weeks.

So it has been my personal mission to restore her back to the lusty red beut she once was, and since january Ive been plodding along getting a bit of preventative maintenace sorted.

first up was a ******* good scrub down, followed by getting the cam belts changed and a good service including a de-coke, replaced the rear brakes and recently fitted a digital mafam. The SDi's have been knocking around in my tool box since they got taken out so they are currently with a VM at work getting refurbed ready to go back in in the near future.
next month Mudge is due her TAX and MOT so no big changes in for next month but the to do list.... and its a biggie

> tax + mot

> replace or upgrade rear antiroll bar bushes as the oe ones are showing sighns of wear... any sugestions on upgrades????
