removing electric wing mirror

Hi Guys,

I'm sure this is really easy to do but i have no idea where to start.

I have a problem with the window rubber on my twilight ZS and to fix i'm going to have to remove the wing mirror on the drivers side.

Do i need to remove the doorcard etc? I know i will probably need to remove the tweeter etc too.

Any help appriciated - a How To would be fab

Thanks
John

Hi John

You do need to remove the door card and tweeter to get the wing mirror off. I'll try and dig out the instructions I used before and send them on.

In theory it is a simple case of unscrewing the door card and popping it off but I remember having to do some jiggery pokery to get the door handle off.

You can pop the tweeter off without removing the door card.

Lever the top corner gentle until it comes off, then lift it up slightly to release the post that goes behind the the door card. Then you can get to the bolts that hold the mirror in place.

If you want to unplug the wiring you do need to remove the door card.
